TechLab residency part 1

TechLab is an initiative that explores and tests new technologies to support creative expression and participation in the arts—especially for people with disabilities. It runs interdisciplinary residencies and workshops where musicians, dancers, and technologists work together to develop performances using innovative tools. As part of the MuseIT project , TechLabs were conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University. These labs focused on using biodata and sensory technologies for a tool called the Remote Performance Platform , which allows artists to co-create music across distances. One notable residency hosted by ShareMusic involved Stanford PhD candidate Mike Mulshine , along with musicians Peter Larsson , Joel Mansour , and dancer Lovisa Larsson . Their goal was to create a performance blending their unique artistic expressions. This residency took place in two parts—first in Jönköping , then in Malmö —and concluded with a public presentation at Mitt Möllan in Malmö on September 11, 2023 .
