MuseIT

This collection includes various datasets created as part of the MuseIT project. MuseIT (Multisensory, User-centred, Shared Cultural Experiences through Interactive Technologies) is an EU-funded project running from October 2022 to September 2025. Its goal is to make cultural experiences more accessible and inclusive, especially for people with disabilities. The project focuses on developing: - Multisensory representations of art (e.g., using sound, touch, and visuals) - A user-centred platform for immersive, remote cultural engagement - Inclusive, co-designed technologies and preservation methods ShareMusic leads the cultural co-creation work, developing a Remote Performance Platform for real-time, distance music-making using tools like JackTrip and neurofeedback sensors. This platform supports emotional expression and collaboration through sound, haptics, and biodata and is designed for users of all abilities. Though music-focused, the technology is adaptable to other art forms. In partnership with DANS-KNAW, ShareMusic is also building a global knowledge base on disability, arts, and culture, featuring research, guides, and creative resources for artists, institutions, and caregivers. Therefore, many of the datasets in this collection are about remote co-creation and inclusive archiving.
